Hot off the press from Mr. Reynard himself, I give you the Midatlantic Barista Jam flyer in digital form:

Dear Coffee Friends and Fanatics,
You are cordially invited to the Kaldi's Summer Barista Jam on June 26th!!
This one day jam will focus on the basics of intense espresso evaluation, brewing and roasting demos, and barista techniques. We will also have a special guest joining us, Ellie Hudson-Matuszak, Vice President of Training and Operations at Coffee Solutions. Ellie is active in the Specialty Coffee Industry and has enjoyed success in the United States Barista Competition as a Regional Champion and as a two-time USBC finalist.
The fantastic coffee sessions will close with a Happy Hour Barista Challenge along with a special performance by Via Dove, local rock heroes.
Both the schedule and registration are available at our homepage.
Registration is only $15 in advance (or $20 at the door) and includes free breakfast, lunch, and happy hour, plus a sweet event t-shirt.
We'll also be hosting the first 2009 Midwest BGA Chapter meeting during lunch. Topics to be covered will be benefits of membership, upcoming events, and creating new barista events and trainings throughout the midwest.
We hope to see you on the 26th!!
Cheers,

This Friday we're rolling forward with the idea of a city versus city throwdown, one which will be viewed and judged live online. Judges will hail from San Francisco, Atlanta, and New York City - I hope this will spark more citys to do this, challenge others, give us all something more to tune into and watch.
The flyer says 15, but it very well may only be 10 baristas to challenge each other.
Within a few weeks from now, Milwaukee baristas will take on Chicago baristas... Stay tuned for more info, but for now know that we're working on rolling out an easy format to follow.
Who's next? Ypsilanti vs Brooklyn? Portland vs LA?
